What this page is for
The dashboard is the first screen after you sign in. It shows a short summary of your organisation, your own sign-in security, and a Getting started list. As your organisation switches on modules (bookings, expenses, owners and so on), their summary cards appear here too.
Who can use it
Everyone who is signed in. Each card only appears if your role allows you to see that information. For example, the Active users card is only shown to people who may view users.
How to use the dashboard
- Read the cards at the top for a quick overview.
- Select a card to open the full screen behind it (for example Active users opens the user list).
- Work through Getting started. Each item opens the screen where you do that task.
- Use the menu on the left (or the Menu button on a phone) to go anywhere else.
- Select Help at the top of any screen to open the help page for that screen.
- Select Customise to hide cards or change their order (see Customise your dashboard).
The top bar
- Search (or Ctrl K / Cmd K) finds people, help pages and module records. See Search.
- The bell shows unread notifications.
- If you belong to more than one organisation, the organisation name becomes a switcher.
- The menu with your name holds your password and sign-in settings, notification preferences, dashboard layout, the theme (Light, Dark, or Device to follow your phone or computer) and Sign out.
- On a computer, the panel button next to the logo collapses the menu to icons only. On a phone, the five most-used links sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen.

Statuses and automation
The numbers are counted again each time the page opens. Nothing on the dashboard changes data.
Settings that change this page
- The organisation name, timezone and currency come from Settings.
- Which cards you see depends on your role (Roles and permissions).
