What this page is for
Search looks across CityLights at once: people in your organisation, help pages, and the records of every module that is on (for example bookings or properties, once those modules are switched on). Results are grouped by type.
Who can use it
Everyone who is signed in. You only see results you are allowed to open. For example, people appear only if your role can view users.
How to search
- Select the search box at the top of any screen, or press Ctrl K (on a Mac, Cmd K).
- Type at least two letters and press Enter.
- Select a result to open it.
On a phone, select the magnifying glass at the top.
Fields and columns
| Item | Meaning |

| Search box | Your words. Capital letters don't matter. |
| Group heading | The type of result, such as Users or Help pages. |
| Result | The name, with a short detail underneath. At most eight results show per group. |
Statuses and automation
Search looks inside names, email addresses and titles. Each module decides which of its fields can be searched.

Results depend on which modules are on (Modules) and on your role.
FAQs
Why can't I find someone? They may be in another organisation, or your role doesn't include viewing users.
Can I search for part of a word? Yes, any part of a name or email address works.
