What this page is for
When several of your units are in one building, record the building here: its floors, facilities and security. Units are linked to a building and floor from each property page. The building page then shows every floor with each unit's occupancy.
Who can use it
- View buildings opens the page (by default every staff role).
- Add buildings shows Add building (by default Admin).
- The module is part of the Front desk and buildings package.
How to find a building
Type part of the name or code in Search and select Filter.
How to add a building
- Select Add building.
- Enter the name, address and floors, tick its facilities, then Save.
- Open each unit's property page and choose the building and floor in Building and floor.
Fields and columns
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | The building's name, with its address below. |
| Code | Optional short code. |
| Floors | How many floors are listed. |
| Units | How many units are linked to the building. |
Statuses and automation
Buildings have no status. Occupancy on the building page is worked out from bookings and blocks; it is never set by hand.
Settings that change this page
The facilities you can tick come from Master data (Building facilities).
FAQs
Is a building the same as a property group? No. Groups are free-form (regions, portfolios); a building has floors, facilities and security. A unit can be in both.
