Item catalogue

What this page is for

Keep one list of the things your units should have. Each unit then gets its own count of these items.

Edit the item catalogue (by default Admin and Operations).

Enter a name, and if you like a category, what it is counted in and an order, then select Add item.
Change an item in its row and select Save.
Untick In use to stop counting an item without losing its history.
Delete removes an item that no unit has counted yet; otherwise it is switched off instead.

Field	Meaning
Name	What it is, for example "Bath towel".
Category	Groups items on the unit page, for example "Bathroom".
Counted in	Pieces, sets, rolls.
Order	Lower numbers come first within a category.
In use	Off: hidden from unit pages and damage reports.

Can a unit need an item another unit doesn't? Yes: set "Should have" to 0 on units that don't need it.

Problem	What to do
Delete only switched the item off	It is counted in some units. That keeps their history.
