What this page is for
Every piece of damage found after a stay, so you can repair it, charge the guest or claim from the booking channel, and see which units suffer most.
Who can use it
See damage reports (by default Admin, Operations, Staff and Viewer). Record damage on a check-out task (Admin, Operations, Staff). Delete damage reports (Admin, Operations).
How to
- Damage is recorded on the check-out task: open it from Check in / out, fill in Damage at the bottom and select Record damage. Add one report per broken or missing thing.
- On this page, choose a unit and select Show to see only its damage.
- Select a photo name to open it.
Fields and columns
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Where | The room and object, for example "bedroom wardrobe door". |
| What happened | A short description. |
| How bad | Minor (wear, small marks), Moderate (needs repair or replacing), Major (the unit can't be let as it is). |

Statuses and automation
Recording damage marks the check-out task as Damage found and shows the damage on the booking page.
Settings that change this page
None. The inventory item list comes from the item catalogue.
FAQs
Does the guest get charged automatically? No. Use the amount when you request payment or file a claim.
Can I record damage without a check-out task? Not yet: the task links the damage to the stay and the unit.
