What this page is for
Your rooms in Beds24 already have names, descriptions in one or more languages, an address, check-in and check-out times, capacity, amenities (Beds24 feature codes) and photos. This page lists every Beds24 room as a listing and copies that content into the StayOps unit it is mapped to, so you do not type it twice. From here you can also put the units on your booking website in one go.
Content only flows from Beds24 into StayOps. Nothing on this page changes Beds24.
Who can use it
- See the Beds24 listings and what was imported (by default Admin and Operations) opens the page.
- Bring Beds24 listing content and photos into units (by default Admin) reads the listings and runs imports.
- Create properties is also needed to tick Create a unit for listings that are not mapped.
- The Add to website buttons appear when the Booking engine module is on and you may create or edit listings; publishing needs Publish and unpublish listings.
How to
- Connect Beds24 on the Beds24 page and map its rooms to your units.
- Select Read listings from Beds24. Every room appears with its first photo, its Beds24 number and the unit it is mapped to.
- Under What to bring in, keep or untick the kinds of content: Name, description and house rules, Address, check-in and check-out, guests, bedrooms and bathrooms, Amenities, Photos.
- To import one listing, select the download icon at the start of its row. To import many, tick them (or tick the box in the heading for all) and select Bring content into units.
- Watch the Last imported column: photos come in a few at a time and the page updates itself every 15 seconds while imports run.
- Check the Result column, then open the unit (pencil icon) to review the description and photos.
- To sell the units online, choose under Booking website whether to add them as drafts or publish them, then select Add to website (for the ticked rows) or the globe icon on one row. The hotel icon opens the website listing.
Fields and columns

What goes where in the unit: the guest name goes to Listing title, the description to Description for guests, other languages are kept for the website listing, house rules to House rules, the address and map position to Address, Beds24 check-in start and check-out end to Check-in from and Check-out by, the room's maximum people to Maximum guests, and bedrooms, beds and bathrooms (counted from the room's feature codes) to their fields. The description is taken in your organisation's language when Beds24 has it, otherwise English, otherwise the first language Beds24 sends.
Statuses and automation
- Waiting: queued; the scheduler starts it within a minute.
- Importing: the texts are in and photos are being downloaded. Each step runs for at most about 20 seconds and the next step carries on where it stopped, so imports work on shared hosting.
- Done: shown as the import time.
- Failed: the reason is in the Result column; select the import icon to try again. An import that has not moved for 15 minutes can be started again.
Photos are only ever added: a photo already brought in (same address, or the same picture) is skipped, so running an import again never duplicates photos. Every photo is checked (only public web addresses, JPEG, PNG or WebP, at most 10 MB), redrawn to remove hidden data, and resized for the website. The first photo becomes the unit's main photo if it had none. Amenities are only ever added, never removed. Empty values in Beds24 never clear a unit field. Each import is recorded in the change history of the unit and of the listing.
Settings that change this page
Module settings for Beds24: Beds24 feature codes to amenities adds or changes matches between Beds24 feature codes and your amenities, for example ROOFTOP_POOL=pool; CODE= ignores a code. Your amenity list is under Master data. The website choices come from the Booking engine settings.
FAQs
Will an import overwrite the description I wrote? No, unless you tick Replace text and details that were changed in StayOps. The field is listed under "Kept your edits".
I deleted a photo in the unit. Will the next import bring it back? Yes, because it is no longer in the unit. Remove it in Beds24 too, or untick Photos.
Does this work with iCal-only channels? No. A calendar link only carries booked and blocked dates, so the listings page says content import is not available.
Do website listings share the unit's photos? Yes. They use the same files, so removing a photo from the unit also removes it from the website listing.
Troubleshooting
